    Great compact machine

Posted by Jon on 5th Oct 2023

Most machines I have used push the limits on a 15 amp circuit. This one will Work all day with out tripping the circuit. It has very small base you can bolt it down in tight locations. I have cored up to a 8” hole no problem thru a a 12” thick wall with rebar with no problem strong motor ??. With the right amount of water clearing the hole of course. High gear your pushing it with the larger bits very satisfied.

    Great for mineral sphere making

Posted by Vince on 4th Jul 2019

This drill is great because it has two speeds. I use the lower RPM to core drill rocks for sphere preforms. My recommendation is to use only clean water and as small a stream as possible. Just a trickle really. I drill a small hole in each drill bit I use to remove the risk of water or steam pressure moving past the seal. Drill bits should last at least in the 25 to 50 core range for hard rocks like quartz, jasper etc. With harder rocks the bits usually need sharpening during the coring process to remove glazing over of the diamonds. I hold an 8" silicon carbide wheel against the moving cutting surface to sharpen the bits.
