2019 Employee Charitable Giving Results!

7th Jan 2020

In 2019 BLUEROCK Tools' employees decided what charities they wanted to support and BLUEROCK wrote the check. This is not the standard company matching program, that you've heard about in the past where the company matches the employee's donation. This is a 100% company funded program that gives the employee the absolute choice to give to any 501(C)(3) non-profit organization.

Thanks to our employees for caring about their communities by finding these wonderful organizations to support and thanks to all the non-profits for doing the work you do!

Below are a few of the chosen organizations that our employees decided to support in 2019:

1) Factory Farming Awareness Coalition

https://www.ffacoalition.org

"Empowering people to help save animals, the environment, and our own health through our daily food choices. From social justice to public health to sustainability, factory farming is one of the most serious issues facing the planet. By educating young people and stakeholder audiences about the realities of factory farming, FFAC works to build both a consumer base for a sustainable, compassionate food system and an informed citizenry that supports cultural and legislative change."

2) Earth Justice

https://earthjustice.org

"We are here because the earth needs a good lawyer. Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit public interest environmental law organization. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change."

3) The Nature Conservancy

https://www.nature.org/en-us/

"The Nature Conservancy is a global environmental nonprofit working to create a world where people and nature can thrive. Founded at its grassroots in the United States in 1951, The Nature Conservancy has grown to become one of the most effective and wide-reaching environmental organizations in the world. Thanks to more than a million members and the dedicated efforts of our diverse staff and more than 400 scientists, we impact conservation in 79 countries and territories across six continents."

4) Old Dog Haven

https://olddoghaven.org

"Old Dog Haven is a small nonprofit group using a large network of foster homes to provide a loving safe home for abandoned senior dogs in western Washington. When we have room and the means, we take these dogs into our homes. We adopt out those dogs with a reasonable life-expectancy. We care for the rest as members of the family in permanent foster homes (what we call “Final Refuge”) for as long as they have good quality of life. In addition, we try to assist owners in finding new homes for their senior dogs through our website and referrals.”
