In 2018, BLUEROCK Tools sponsored the Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) racing team at UCLA by donating pipe sanding equipment for use during the fabrication of their vehicle. The student organization designs and builds a vehicle from the ground up each school year to compete with other SAE organizations around the country. During the annual competition, the vehicles are judged on their dynamic capabilities as well as the ability to manufacture and market in a cost-effective way.

At the beginning of the year, the eager team was experiencing a lack of equipment and material funding. After reaching out to us, we decided to lend help by donating an assortment of pipe sanding equipment. Our machines were utilized during the project for the purpose of preparing chassis tubing for welding and paint. The tools were used extensively during the project and saved the team valuable prep time.
