The threaded joining tool is used to cinch the band guide securely onto pipe. Each additional section of band can be combined end to end with the supplied screws or quick connected with the silver threaded joining hook. The steel guide band is fitted around your pipe with silver spacers to raise the band off the surface of your pipe by 1-3/16". When mounting on a smaller pipe and guide band overlaps, remove those spacers. The meeting ends of band are connected and tightened together by screwing down the two bolts on the silver threaded joining hook. Once firmly secured, mount the machine with the two adjustable guide forks over the metal band.
